Lawn Fungicide Treatment
Turf grasses in this area are highly susceptible to fungal diseases due to the weather conditions in the spring and summer months. Rhizoctonia (Brown Patch) and Sclerotinia homoeocarpa (Dollar Spot) are the two most common turf grass diseases in Georgia and Tennessee and can destroy a beautiful lawn overnight during the summer months. Champion Green offers Fungicide Treatments to help prevent this disease and restore your lawn. Typically, Dollar Spot can be controlled with one application while Brown Patch must be treated in a 2-3 Treatment Program to control the disease throughout its active season.
Diseases need 3 things to live: a susceptible host, a disease pathogen, and a favorable environment. Two of these factors are always present in a home lawn: a susceptible host and a disease pathogen. This leaves only the environmental conditions to become optimal for disease growth which can happen overnight. Because turf diseases can happen quickly, we recommend that customers sign up for these treatments prior to the diseases’ active season as preventative applications are better than curative applications.
The fungicide also covers a wide range of Disease such as: Dollar Spot, Brown Patch, Leaf Spot, Anthracnose, Summer Patch, Gray Leaf Spot and Rapid Blight, Red Tread, Pink Patch, Rust, Southern Blight, Stripe Smut, Fusarium Patch, Pink Snow Mold, Take-All Patch, Necrotic Ring Spot, Large Patch, and Fairy Ring.
This fungicide will treat most of these diseases for 14-28 days. Multiple applications will be required for longer durations. 2-3 treatments will usually get your lawn through the summer season for most of these diseases.
