Perennial weeds cannot be controlled with pre-emergent; alternative control methods are needed; these are marked with (p). Some annual weeds are not controlled with pre-emergent. With the limitations of the herbicides available today, only some can be controlled with post-emergent sprays after the weed has germinated and emerged; these are marked with (a). Some weeds can only be suppressed; these are marked with (s):
